Los Angeles will host a milestone in NFL history when the Green Bay Packers come to SoFi Stadium to face the Rams on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 25, 2026. Netflix announced that U2 is slated to headline the halftime show for this inaugural game, which kicks off at 5 pm PT. The game will be broadcast globally on Netflix, with a local broadcast available on NBC-4.
The performance from the Dublin-formed band arrives as U2 commemorates 50 years since their formation in 1976. This event adds a significant moment to a primetime matchup that also marks the very first game played on Thanksgiving Eve in NFL history. For those looking to experience the performance and the game live, tickets will be available for purchase, with options including single-game suite rentals.
Netflix's broadcast of this game continues a pattern of high-profile halftime entertainment for its NFL programming. In 2024, the platform's first Christmas Gameday featured international superstar Beyoncé during the halftime show for the Baltimore Ravens versus Houston Texans game, which was notably referred to as the “Beyoncé Bowl.” Last year, Snoop Dogg hosted his “Holiday Halftime Party” for the Christmas Day game between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. Jesse Collins Entertainment will produce U2's upcoming halftime show.
SoFi Stadium, home to the Rams, has quickly established itself as a premier venue for major sports and entertainment events since its opening in 2021. Built by Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke, the stadium has hosted a diverse roster of acclaimed performers including Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny, Los Bukis, Karol G, and BTS, in addition to Beyoncé. Looking ahead, SoFi Stadium is also set to host Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, following eight World Cup matches held there this past summer. The venue will also play a key role in the 2028 Summer Olympics, hosting the opening ceremonies and swimming events.
The game between the Rams and the Packers on Netflix will reach a wide international audience, available in over 200 countries. Subscribers globally can access the broadcast in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. In the United States, the game will also air on NBC-owned stations and affiliates in the competing teams' cities, and will be accessible on U.S. mobile and tablet devices via NFL+. NBC Sports will be responsible for producing the pre and postgame shows for the event, with EverWonder Studio serving as an executive producer for Netflix.
