Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields festival is set to bring up to 45,000 fans to Irvine's Great Park on August 29. The sold-out, women-fronted festival, featuring acts like Chappell Roan, Doechii, Garbage, and headliner Olivia Rodrigo, alongside special guests Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks, quickly became one of the year's most anticipated events. Its net proceeds benefit nonprofits advocating for women and girls, including Baby2Baby and Planned Parenthood. Given the park's usual capacity for about 10,000 people, attendees should be prepared for significant crowds and plan their arrival accordingly, especially with forecasts calling for highs around 90 degrees.
While initial on-site parking passes for Great Park and Wild Rivers Waterpark quickly sold out at $100, fans still have options for getting to the festival grounds at 8000 Great Park Boulevard. Shuttle passes, priced at $50 per person, remain available from designated park-and-ride locations in Orange County. These include Anaheim's Honda Center at OCVIBE (2695 E Katella Ave) and multiple spots at UC Irvine, such as the UC Irvine Health and Science Parking Structure (5100 California Ave), UC Irvine Lot 70 (4590 Health Sciences Rd), and UC Irvine Mesa Parking Structure (4002 Mesa Rd). Organizers note that shuttle users will get closer access to the main entrance and utilize routes closed to other traffic.
Rideshare drop-off and pickup points are located at Lot P4 (8000-8200 Great Park Blvd), about a mile walk from the entrance, and Discovery Park (500 Technology Dr), which is a 1.5-mile walk but offers complimentary shuttles to the entrance. A dedicated parent pickup and drop-off area is also available near the Wild Rivers lot at 10000 Great Park Blvd. For those considering public transit, both the Irvine and Anaheim train stations connect to the festival. The Irvine station is relatively close but requires a rideshare to the grounds, while Anaheim train passengers can use the $50 parking shuttles.
Amtrak provides frequent service from Union Station, with trains roughly every hour to Anaheim for $16 or Irvine for $19, though only one return train is available post-fest. Metrolink offers less frequent but more affordable weekend passes at $10 for unlimited rides, and the agency will operate an extra late-night post-festival train on lines to L.A., Oceanside, and San Bernardino. The festival will feature two stages, the Marigold Stage and the main Dandelion Stage, with no overlapping set times. Olivia Rodrigo headlines the Dandelion Stage from 8:40 pm to 10 pm. Other notable acts include Chappell Roan at 7 pm on the Dandelion Stage and Bikini Kill at 2:50 pm on the Marigold Stage. Devon Again replaced KATSEYE due to a member's sprained ankle.
