Winter Fest OC is set to return to the OC Fair & Event Center, bringing back its seasonal attractions alongside a new holiday light trail and other expanded features. Organizers announced on Friday that the event will open its doors on November 27 and run through January 3, 2027. This marks the 12th year for the popular festival at the Costa Mesa venue, which has become a staple for holiday celebrations in Orange County. Residents can anticipate the usual lineup of ice tubing, outdoor ice skating, snow play areas, carnival rides, and games, as well as opportunities for visits with Santa and various live entertainment options.
The centerpiece of this year's new offerings is a dedicated holiday light trail. Produced by PSQ Productions, the company behind the event, this new trail promises several themed sections designed to immerse visitors in a festive atmosphere. Guests can expect to wander through areas such as the Peppermint Tunnel, the Singing Forest, and the Aurora Snowfall Walk. Further along the trail, the Light Field, Grand Cove, and Evergreen Tunnel will offer additional illuminated experiences. Admission to this new light trail will be included as part of the general admission ticket, meaning no extra charge to explore the new pathway of lights.
Mark Entner, CEO of PSQ Productions, shared his thoughts on the upcoming season in a recent statement, noting that the holiday season is "all about creating special moments." He also emphasized efforts to make Winter Fest OC more accessible for families this year, introducing flexible admission passes and continuing to enhance the event's various attractions.
Beyond the new light trail, Winter Fest OC is also introducing a significant new active attraction. A 20,000-square-foot Bounce Land is among the additions, offering a substantial space for physical play. This area will feature multiple climbing zones, various obstacle courses, and a series of slides, catering to those looking for a more energetic experience. A pass specifically for the Bounce Land attraction will also grant access to Polar Putt Putt, a nine-hole miniature golf course. This combination of activities provides a distinct set of entertainment options for guests.
Returning visitors will find many of the beloved attractions they've come to expect from Winter Fest OC. The Snowflake Summit ice tubing slide will be back, offering nine lanes for guests to slide down on inner tubes. An outdoor ice skating rink will also be available, providing a classic winter activity under the Southern California sky. These activities, along with the snow play areas, carnival games, and live performances, aim to round out the festive experience for all ages.
For those looking for a more exclusive experience, organizers are once again offering private fireside igloos. These igloos are designed to accommodate up to ten people, providing a cozy and private space for groups to relax amidst the festival's hustle and bustle. Additionally, a VIP Lounge will be available for Platinum Pass holders, offering an elevated experience for those who opt for the premium ticketing tier.
Planning ahead might offer some savings, as early-bird ticket prices are set to be available through November 10. Organizers also noted a change to admission passes, which will now allow purchasers the flexibility to select their specific visit date after their initial ticket purchase. This aims to provide more convenience for guests scheduling their holiday outings.
Entering its twelfth year, Winter Fest OC has established itself as a recurring highlight of the Southern California holiday season, drawing families to the OC Fair & Event Center for a range of winter-themed activities, despite the region's typically mild climate.
