Iconic Welsh singer Sir Tom Jones has postponed his scheduled Southern California concerts in Los Angeles and San Diego, citing a "bad case of the flu." The unexpected announcement came on Monday, just hours before the legendary crooner was set to take the stage for his eagerly anticipated performance at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

Jones, who is 86 years old, shared the news directly with his fans via an Instagram statement, explaining that the decision to reschedule was made strictly on doctor’s orders, prioritizing his health and recovery. In his message, the veteran performer conveyed that he had thoroughly enjoyed his recent string of appearances, stating that he had completed 20 shows and sung for "wonderful audiences across the USA." Despite this positive and extensive run, he noted that he was "unexpectedly" hit with the flu, which unfortunately necessitated the rescheduling of his Monday show in Los Angeles and his Tuesday show in San Diego.

The concert originally slated for Monday, at the historic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, has now been moved to a new date: November 4. Similarly, his performance at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, a prominent waterfront venue in San Diego, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday, will now take place on November 3. These changes affect fans across the region who had planned to attend.

For those holding tickets to the original performances, all previously purchased passes will be honored for the corresponding new, rescheduled dates. This aims to provide convenience for attendees. However, for ticket holders who find themselves unable to attend on the revised evenings, options for a refund are available. As outlined in Jones's Instagram statement, individuals seeking a refund are advised to initiate the process through their original point of purchase for the tickets.

Sir Tom Jones, widely celebrated for his powerful voice and enduring hits such as "It's Not Unusual," is currently nearing the conclusion of his "Come Gather Round Tour." Prior to these recent postponements, the tour was anticipated to wrap up with what would have been a final performance in San Francisco on November 1. With the Los Angeles show now rescheduled for November 4, the Greek Theatre will instead host the tour's new grand finale, bringing the "Come Gather Round Tour" to a close in Southern California.

Looking ahead, Jones is still scheduled to perform at the Yaamava’ Theater on Thursday, indicating that he expects to be well enough for that engagement. In his public statement regarding the postponements, he offered an apology to his fans for any inconvenience caused and shared his anticipation of seeing them soon.
