Southern California rock fans will have their chance to snag tickets this Saturday for Aerosmith’s highly anticipated return to the stage. The legendary band is set to play two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, scheduled for October 29 and November 1, promising a star-studded affair under the banner “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends.” General tickets become available at 10 a.m. Saturday.

These performances mark Aerosmith’s first major return to touring after a hiatus following lead singer Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. The band had to cancel its 2024 farewell tour, which was cut short only a few shows into its 2023 launch due to Tyler’s health. While Tyler has since performed at various benefit shows and awards ceremonies, Aerosmith itself has not resumed touring until now.

The “Aerosmith & Friends” concept is a significant draw, with a lineup of guest artists expected to join the band. Organizers have confirmed that The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Slash, and Tom Morello are scheduled to perform. The guest list extends further, with appearances also expected from Andrew Watt, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Eric Church, Alice in Chains members Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez, Marcus King, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Train singer Pat Monahan, Steve Stevens, and Godsmack singer Sully Erna.

Organizers noted that the exact lineup will vary by night, with final details to be announced closer to showtime. They also anticipate additional artists and surprise guests will be revealed.

Aerosmith announced these Hollywood Bowl shows on Wednesday, following a video tease released two days prior. The video featured Steven Tyler placing letters on the Hollywood Bowl marquee alongside photographer Ross Halfin, confirming the October 29 and November 1 dates. In the video, Tyler emphasized the collaborative nature of the events, stating, "It’s `Aerosmith and Friends,’ Ross … Aerosmith and Friends!"

Formed in Boston in 1970, Aerosmith quickly became one of rock’s most enduring and successful acts. Their discography boasts iconic songs such as “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” The band’s significant contributions to music were recognized with their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and they have earned four Grammy Awards over their career.

For those eager to secure seats, a Citi cardmember presale started Thursday, followed by other presale opportunities leading up to the general public sale this Saturday. More information regarding the concerts is available at Aerosmith.com.
