Southern California residents looking to secure their spot at one of the region's signature events can mark their calendars: tickets for the 2027 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach go on sale this Sunday. The three-day motorsports festival, which transforms the streets of downtown Long Beach into a roaring circuit, is scheduled for April 16-18.
Organizers confirmed that tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Sunday for the event. The main NTT IndyCar Series race, the fifth round of the 2027 series, is set for April 18. Drivers will tackle the 1.97-mile, 11-turn street circuit, with defending winner and five-time series champion Alex Palou expected to compete. Other prominent names anticipated to participate include past Long Beach winners Kyle Kirkwood, Scott Dixon, Josef Newgarden, and Will Power, alongside Pato O’Ward and 2026 IndyCar Rookie of the Year Dennis Hauger.
The day before, April 17, will feature the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, marking its third round. This race will showcase the GTP prototype class, which includes hybrid race cars from manufacturers such as Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, and Porsche. The GTP cars will share the track with the GTD class, creating a field expected to include at least 25 cars. Beyond the headlining events, the Grand Prix offers a full schedule of other racing action. Spectators can catch the Formula Drift Super Drift Challenge on Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday and Sunday will also host doubleheaders featuring Robby Gordon’s SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks, the Porsche Carrera Cup North America, and the Historic F1 Challenge, which will bring Formula One cars that competed between 1975 and 1984 back to the track.
The Grand Prix is known for being more than just races, offering a variety of activities for attendees off the track. A Lifestyle Expo will host more than 100 exhibitors, while a dedicated Family Fun Zone will be set up at the Long Beach Arena. Evening concerts are planned for both Friday and Saturday, adding to the festival atmosphere. Car displays, driver autograph sessions, and the CARnival car show provide additional entertainment. Organizers also noted that more than 150 concession stands will be operating throughout the venue to keep fans fed.
Jim Liaw, president and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach, emphasized the unique nature of the event, stating that there's “nothing quite like the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.”
Ticket options range from single-day general admission to multi-day reserved seating. A Friday general admission ticket is priced at $59. For those looking for a full weekend experience, a three-day ticket is available for $232, which includes reserved seating in the upper levels of the grandstands for Saturday and Sunday. In addition to general admission and reserved seating, a variety of other packages will be offered. These include prepaid parking, accessible seating, IndyCar paddock passes for closer access, photography tickets, and hospitality packages. Children aged 12 and younger will receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult, though a junior ticket will be necessary for grandstand seating. Tickets, parking, and paddock passes can be purchased starting 10 a.m. Sunday via gplb.com or by calling 888-827-7333.
