Times of San Diego reported that La Jolla entrepreneur Brenda Viola has launched a new online retail business called The Fa La La Store, offering holiday apparel that includes hoodies, T-shirts, onesies, and caps. Viola told the outlet that the enterprise merges hometown pride with the festive spirit of her adopted home, noting that the idea came from falling in love with the area.

After discussing the startup concept with her cousin, Viola trademarked the name and used ChatGPT to help develop the initial design concepts. The product line targets La Jolla and La Mesa residents. Viola stated that she would like to partner with retail outlets in La Jolla Village and establish pop-up shops at retirement communities aged fifty-five and older.

Confirmed public appearances for the apparel include a tentative appearance at the La Jolla Farmer’s Market located at 7335 Girard Avenue on November 22 and November 29, as well as an appearance at the La Mesa Christmas Market on December 12.
