San Diegans looking for a night of chart-topping hits will find it at Viejas Arena when global hip-hop icon Doja Cat brings her Tour Ma Vie World Tour to the city. She will be joined by superstar guest Latto for what is described as a high-energy arena show, promising massive production and unmatched live music.

Patrons can convert cash to card at no-fee kiosks located behind the Ticket Office at the Main Gate and also at Gate 3. Security policies are strict regarding bags. Approved items include clear plastic or vinyl bags up to 12" x 6" x 12", or small non-clear clutches and wallets that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5". Backpacks are strictly prohibited, and all personal items are subject to search upon entry.

Attendees should also anticipate potential delays when leaving the venue area due to ongoing campus construction near Canyon Crest Drive. To make travel smoother, securing prepaid parking in advance is strongly advised, as is utilizing the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) for transportation.

Viejas Arena itself has a history stretching back to the original Aztec Bowl site. Ground was broken for the arena on March 27, 1995, at what had been the center of university events for decades. The Aztec Bowl, which first opened its doors on October 3, 1936, served as the primary location for university sporting and cultural gatherings until August of 1994. A notable moment in its past occurred on June 6, 1963, when President John F. Kennedy delivered the commencement address and received an honorary doctorate before an audience of 30,000 people in and around the Aztec Bowl.

The development of the modern arena began in earnest in February and March of 1988, when the Associated Students’ of SDSU approved a Student Activity Center referendum. This referendum included a mandatory student fee increase designed to fund the construction of what would become the Cox Arena and the Aztec Recreation Center. In November of 1994, the Aztec Bowl received designation as a historic site, which ultimately led to its selection as the location for the Viejas Arena. Due to this historic designation, certain bleacher sections of the original bowl were preserved and remain visible today. Viejas Arena, formerly known as Cox Arena, officially opened to the campus and wider community in July of 1997.

The venue is known for its quality entertainment, offering what is described as "impeccable acoustics and sight lines," with the assurance that "every seat in the house is great." Beyond concerts, Viejas Arena hosts a range of events including athletic competitions, conferences, lectures, and academic gatherings, and it serves as the home court for Aztec Basketball. Its normal operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional hours scheduled on event days. For those driving, the arena and its parking structures are located along 55th Street, easily accessible from both eastbound and westbound I-8 via College Avenue and Montezuma Road.
